The course is aimed at anyone both at home and abroad who wishes to experience our actor training over the Summer holiday period. It is highly suited to younger students who want a real taste of studying with us before commiting to any full training, or for foreign students to also immerse themselves in the culture and language of London.
The course itself is a progressive three weeks looking at the process of acting that has evolved over the last few years at the Temple, firmly rooted in the principles orginally taught by Sanford Meisner.
The course is open to all (18+), from professional actors to curious novices. There will also be a theatre outing to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, which is included in the course fee.
This year we are offering 3 options to enable as many people as possible to attend the Summer School around their other commitments: you can choose to attend our Morning Course: 9.30-1.30pm, Daytime Course: 1.45-5.45pm or Evening Course: 6-10pm
You must commit to the same time each day once you have decided which option above suits you best.
All classes take place Monday to Friday for 3 weeks at our studio theatre on Warren Street in London’s West End.
Complete commitment is required from every student.
The total cost of the course is £1200.00. The first payment of £400 is due on booking to secure your place and is non refundable after 1st July. The remaining £800 is due on the first day of the course.
You only need bring yourself.

Last year, we found a number of people attending the course also wanted to study English, to improve basic skills and get the most out of their time on the course itself and their time in the UK. This year we are delighted to welcome on board Ali Kemp as our English tutor. Ali is TEFL qualified and has also trained as an actress with The Actors Temple.

There is a variety of quality accommodation within 10 minutes walk of the studio theatre including: Generator Hostel, YHA.
There may also be the option of lodging with an actor from The Actors Temple. Please let us know if you are interested and we will forward you relevant details.
There aren’t nearly enough words in the English dictionary to even describe what The Actors Temple has given me, which is why you have to experience it for yourself.
